Deprivation in 2007

Our briefing on the current geography of deprivation, using the latest IMD figures, has been covered in the SocietyGuardian. The research shows that the picture of relative deprivation has remained largely unchanged since 2004, with 30 of the 35 most deprived districts (roughly the most deprived 10 per cent of districts in England) remaining so today. >>

New Local Knowledge service to be launched this Spring

The latest addition to the Local Knowledge service is e-publishing. This new service will shortly be launched to allow Local Knowledge users to publish their own reports online, using our Local Knowledge data. Reports will initially be available at district level and thereafter for more spatial levels, covering a range of themes. Contact us for further details.

Berkshire's Strategy for Sustainable Economic Prosperity

Local Futures is working with the six Berkshire unitary authorities to create a sub-regional strategy for economic prosperity. The first phase of the project has been completed, marked by the launch of a State of the Sub-Region Report at a major event in January 2008. >>

The State of the London Boroughs

The latest research by Local Futures on the London Boroughs has been published as part of a 'place-shaping tool-kit', in partnership with Capital Ambition (London's Regional Improvement Partnership). The main report was accompanied by a number of supporting documents and aims to assist the LAA and MAA process. >>
